Summer Fruit Fun: Carving Watermelons

Have you seen those incredible watermelon carvings and always wanted to try to make one yourself?

I didn't think I could carve a watermelon, but after seeing the The National Watermelon Promotion Board, I know I can do it! They have a page with about 50 different ideas for Watermelon Carvings and there are some really impressive ideas. The best part is: you don't need to be a professional fruit carver to pull this off. Some of these ideas are elaborate, but others are completely do-able. I think I'm finally over my watermelon-carving-phobia and I'm probably going to make one this week for 4th of July dessert.
