Head on over to your local Home Depot for a FREE Kid's workshop this weekend!
What is it? The kids get a chance to make a Keep Sake Box this weekend at Home Depot. This is a FREE hands-on workshop designed for kids ages 5 - 12. I have taken a younger child to these events, and as long as my husband or I were there to help out, my youngest was always been able to participate as well! All kids get to keep their craft and receive a free Kids Workshop Apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement.
When is it? Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where is it? Home Depot stores across the U.S. I don't think you need to pre-register for this event, but you may want to contact your local Home Depot to confirm the event details. I always recommend confirming public events before heading out with the kids.
In addition to all of the free workshops that Home Depot hosts, did you know Home Depot also has Do-it-Herself Workshops too?
According to their website, Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. they are hosting an event for women on How To Install Crown Moulding. I think it's very cool that they are showing women how to enhance their DIY skills. Now, if they only could offer tips on how to avoid having 75 mismatched socks at any given time or how to install an automatic vacuum under my kitchen table... I'd be there!
