I don't know about your neck of the woods, but in ours, it's a gray and rainy day. The forecast doesn't look much better for the upcoming week either. Rainy days when we're stuck indoors often go more smoothly if we have a variety of activities planned. Typically, this means at least one craft activity.
Here's a very easy and fun Easter craft that is sure to brighten up any rainy day! This is no typical paper cup Easter bunny...this Easter Bunny laughs! And it laughs loudly!
Materials needed: paper cup, string, paper clip, construction paper, marker and tape.
Step 1: In this demo we taped the paper to the paper cup first. But in hindsight, I think it would have been better to use the paper clip to make a hole and thread the string through as the first step.
Step 2: Make some ears and whiskers and tape them on. Draw some eyes and a mouth.
Step 3: (This should have been the first step). Use the paper clip to make a hole in the top of the cup. Wiggle it around to get a big enough hole that the string will fit through it without too much effort. Tie the paper clip to one end of the string so that it sits on top of the cup.
Step 4: Let your little one dip their fingers in water and then drag them along the string. They'll be surprised by the loud noise that results! If you move your fingers in short jerks, you'll get what sounds like a goofy laugh.
I hope this Laughing Easter Bunny brings some smiles to your home. Whether you're in a rainy part of the country or not!
