I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I think Manasota Family Fun said it best on their FaceBook page yesterday, when they posted "Wow, what a weekend! I think I need another one just to recuperate!"
Thanks to everyone who linked up and found new ideas with us on Fun for Kids Friday. There are always so many fun & inspiring ideas. Here are just a few of my favorites:
These Whirligig Fish from Little Wonders' Days. These are so fun and bursting with color. This idea was inspired from a book which shows you many ways to make different whirligigs. You can be as simple or elaborate as you want, which is something I love about this idea.
This is a wonderful idea from a 'Local Fun' Mom who blogs at Kidlist. She wanted to create a train for her son's birthday party and whipped this up with recycled cardboard, some paint & a lot of creativity. For some Moms, it can be really challenging to come up with unique ideas for kids' birthday parties, but, this is amazing! And, anything that utilizes recycled materials gets bonus points in my book.
If you want a simple craft for Easter that almost any age child can do, this is it! These Easter Egg Sun Catchers from Snails and Puppy Dog Tails are so pretty. Plus, on a practical note, I really like crafts that are easy to store and use year after year, and since this is thin and protected with contacted paper, it's great for anyone who wants to cherish their kids' crafts but not have boxes and boxes of stuff.
Thanks again to everyone who participated in Fun for Kids Friday! I hope to see you all again this Friday. My co-host, Smile Monsters, also has a few of her favorites for the week! Go check them out.
