Easy Craft: How to Make a Balloon Wreath

If I told you that you could make a colorful balloon wreath in the amount of time it takes to get a pizza delivered, would you believe me?  My sisters and I did it over the weekend, and I will show you how.

Here's what you need:

  • 2 packs of Balloons (72 in each pack).  These balloons need to be about 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide).
  • 2-3 packs of Floral Greening Pins.  You will have 144 balloons, so make sure you have about 144 pins to put all of your balloons in place.
  • 1 Straw Wreath.  Be sure to leave the protective plastic on.

Just take your metal greening pin and poke it though the middle of the balloon.  Then, just stick the balloon onto the wreath with the pin.  Do this over and over again!

Spread your colors around so that you have a nice variety of colors on all the sides.

Keep in mind, you won't be covering theentire wreath with balloons, so focus on the front of the wreath and then you can work on any bare spots at the end.  Every now and then just hold it up and see if there are any spots that need a balloon. When all of your balloons are gone, you're done.  Then, just add some picture wire to the back (for hanging) and it's complete!

It's really that easy!  My sister originally saw this craft on the website, How Does She, and I'm so happy she shared it with me. I especially love this wreath as a gift for someone who doesn't like accepting gifts from you (doesn't everyone have someone in their life like that?).  Plus, it's a gift that keeps on giving since you can use it over and over again!
